Discover Aztec riddles, poetry and songs, as well as the bloody ritual of the flower wars. And hear the remarkable story of how this thriving empire collapsed all at once, in a matter of days.
With Mexica riddles, songs and poetry, we look back at the age of the Aztecs, and find out what happened when the two sides of the world finally met.

Its was a great episode! It would be great if you could do a podcast on a rather obscure topic: ancient civilizations of the amazon forest!

This was an absolutely amazing episode.
The mixture of the big picture spice with key events and the barbaric behaviour on both sides, makes for a great story and an enriching lesson in human behaviour

I was absolutely overwhelmed with this episode. I definitely think it is the best of the 13 I have heard so far. I’ve heard bits and pieces about the conquest of the Aztecs by Cortez, but never has it been told to me as a story with the level of detail and clarity you seem to have with all your podcasts.
